
Reminder - Cheboygan Area Schools will be closed on Monday the 10th for Winter Break.

Just a reminder that tomorrow, February 5th, is a half day for students. Dismissal at the High School, Middle School, and Intermediate School will be at 11:15.

6th grade students took a tour of the high school and participated in a Q and A with Student Leaders, Mr. Wilson, Mrs. Knaffle and Mrs. Schlak as they prepare to move to the high school for 7th grade next year!



Mr. Gravlin and his crew leading 3rd graders in cross county adventures today! They will be enjoying this exciting activity the next few weeks.







Middle/Intermediate School Ski Club has had 2 great nights skiing so far this year. One of the instructors even said how nice and polite our students were!



Students and staff at CIS showed their support for the Detroit Lions by dressing up in their Lions gear on Friday.






Students and staff enjoyed the PBIS incentive assembly today, "Are you smarter than a fifth grader". Students and staff teamed up to answer questions from the host, Mr. Hall. A big thank you to our PBIS Committee for organizing this great assembly!!




Mrs. Urlaub’s and Ms. Grisdale’s classes teamed up to complete a STEAM activity where they built structures made with index cards.

Ms. Mullis' 3rd-grade music students started ukulele this week. We are so excited to add ukuleles to our 3rd-12th grade music room, thank you to the Cheboygan Music Boosters for your support in purchasing our new instruments!"

In 6th grade science, students are using microscopes to identify the characteristics of living and nonliving things!





Students in Mrs. Fox’s room made butter by shaking a jar of heavy cream as part of their lesson on perseverance. It was hard work, but they learned that a positive mindset, teamwork and patience can have a delicious outcome.



Mrs. Chase’s 4th graders had fun learning about forces and motion today with a ping pong ball and a golf ball. It was really interesting to discover why the objects reacted the way they did when dropped from the top of a step stool.




Students made cookies to share with CIS while working with Mrs. Hecko. They looked delicious!!
