Hello CHS Students and Guardians!
We’re excited to invite our 7th graders and New Students to Orientation and Schedule Pick-Up on August 25th from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at the high school! This is a great chance for students to explore the school, sign up for a locker, and grab their class schedules.
Our amazing chief ambassadors will be hosting a fun Scavenger Hunt and Schedule Pick-Up for 8th graders following 7th Grade Orientation, starting at 11:00 AM. 8th Graders may arrive anytime between 11:00 and 12:30 to pick them up and complete the scavenger hunt.
For our 9th to 12th graders, you can look forward to accessing your schedules in PowerSchool starting August 25th. Locker assignments will also be available to view in PowerSchool and on your graduating class’s Google Classroom page.

Attention 12th-grade students and parents:
If you or your family would like to purchase a Senior Class Portrait (the class photo that hangs in the hallway), order forms are available in the high school main office. The portraits are 8x10 and cost $20.00. Please complete the form and place the payment in the envelope, then give it to the photographer on Senior Class Picture Day, which will be held on May 22nd at 8:30 AM in the high school gym.
Huge Wins for Cheboygan Welding at Ferris State! 🏆🔥
We are incredibly proud of our Cheboygan High School welding students who competed at Ferris State University on May 8th! Facing off against over 150 students from 40 schools across Michigan, our small but mighty team of five made a massive impact.
A huge congratulations to our top finishers:
🥇 Colton Gheldof – 1st Place in GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding)
🥈 Braxton Esper – 2nd Place in GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding)
🥉 Kollin Bird (St. Ignace transfer) – 3rd Place in FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding)
Not only did they bring home medals, but their skills earned them incredible prizes like new welders, grinders, and top-tier PPE. Plus, a big thank you to Ferris State for the generous donation of filler and educational materials for our labs!
